Daytime TV Announce New Album ‘Rodeo’

will release new album ‘Rodeo’ early next year.

The band’s run of infectious early singles blended post-punk with arch wit, but a shift in perspective arose following frontman Will Irvine’s experiences with a severe, life-threatening autoimmune illness.

Spending 2024 in convalescence, the band’s new material is halo’d in light, displaying a real pop tenacity and thirst for melody.

Out on 19th February 2027 via Marshall Records, it’s a work of real immediacy.

“When you come close to losing everything, all your inhibitions disappear,” said Will. “You stop caring about trying to fit into a specific genre or pleasing anyone else. Rodeo is about stepping boldly into who we really are as a band and as people. It’s an album built on energy, survival, and pure conviction.”

New single ‘Meditate’ is out now – fringed with nostalgia, it snaps back into the present with alacrity.

Matt says: “Written during a heatwave, ‘Meditate’ is a nostalgic look back at what could have been. A chance missed, the ‘what if’ of THAT relationship. Maybe we could’ve done better. Everything was there for us but we let it pass us by and now our lives have gone in different directions. Dreaming about how life would’ve been different if things had worked out, then snapping back to the present day reality to “meditate & medicate” which is what I was prescribed to reset my nervous system at the time we wrote the song.”

Tune in now.
