serves as the follow-up to Sylvian’s 2009 album , and will be released on the newly founded NANOQ label. The album is composed of sessions recorded between 2012 and 2025, based on recomposed improvisational material with a variety of artists ranging from Otomo Yoshihide, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Bilianna Voutchkova and Miako Klein, to Jamie Drouin and Lance Austin Olson.

The 46-minute instrumental album is said to be unlike anything that Sylvian has done before. While much of Japan’s later work was stripped around the vocals, emphasising space, is described as the “far edge” of a way of working that Sylvian has developed in the years that followed his time with Japan.
