DaMetalMessiah Takes Control Of FABRICLIVE. Mix

will steer a new mix for the FABRICLIVE. series.

The Instagram channel has evolved into an essential archive for grime, UK rap, dubstep and beyond, hosting regular nights in the process.

Developing a collaborative relationship with London club fabric, DaMetalMessiah will now handle a new edition of their landmark FABRICLIVE. mix series.

The incoming compilation focuses on multiple eras and iterations of grime, ranging from first wave sonics through to Boxed and beyond. Packed with exclusives, it lands digitally on November 26th with a full vinyl pressing to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

“I’ve always been interested in the different directions grime can be pushed, particularly the ongoing conversation around its place on the dancefloor”, says DaMetalMessiah. “This compilation explores the possibilities within grime, bringing together artists who approach the sound from different perspectives and push it into new territory.”

“Grime hasn’t always been welcomed into clubs. When the police were putting pressure on promoters not to put on grime events, fabric was one of the spaces that continued to champion the sound. Given that history, and fabric’s status as an institution in UK club culture, there’s something particularly meaningful about releasing a project through a venue that has played such an important role in preserving grime’s legacy.”

The release is led by ‘Blackwall Tunnel’ – a link-up between breakout producer and seminal Roll Deep talent , it’s a phenomenal, intense, future-facing grime workout.
