has shared his new album, ‘Kings of the Bounce – The Bomberman Chronicles’ (acronymed K.O.T.B), today through Native Sounds and Warner Records.

His third studio album to date, the record is anchored in a profoundly intimate exploration of loss and communal survival set against the backdrop of the commercialisation of warfare. In real life, the album’s heavy motifs of grief were shaped by the sudden death of a close friend, whom Santino lived with during his early career.

‘K.O.T.B’ takes the form of a narrative album, serving as a prequel to his last album, ‘Subaru Boys: FINAL HEAVEN’, which was released in 2022. Set 3,000 years before the Final Heaven arc, ‘K.O.T.B’ centres on arms dealers weaponising the fight against sea creatures before human-creature harmony existed. In the cutthroat world that Santino has created, alliances are as fleeting as the mortality he speaks of on tracks like ‘Game of Death’.

The album succeeds the release of six singles that showcase the Nigerian artist’s fusion of genres, combining atmospheric synths with an up-tempo Afrobeats sound.
