Liverpool group will release new album ‘Wild In The Streets’ on October 30th.

The incoming LP is the cult band’s tenth to date, and it finds Clinic ripping up he rulebook once more. Purposefully moving away from expectations, the Liverpool outfit are embracing disparate sounds, infusing their left-field psych-pop with different aspects and flavours.

“Something we’ve got into more recently is exotica,” explains Ade Blackburn in a press note, “especially the colourful percussion. People like Martin Denny and Les Baxter. Some of that stuff is amazing. For what was often considered easy listening music, it has some very strange undercurrents. We’ve also been listening to dub reggae and things like Cabaret Voltaire. And a lot of early rock‘n’roll, for that immediacy. For many of these songs, we wanted an extra sense of propulsion, so we’d sometimes take out a whole verse to push it along.”

Out on October 30th, new album ‘Wild In The Streets’ will be released through the band’s long-standing home of Domino Records.
