Out now, the new single deals with everyone young woman’s worst nightmare – the toxicity of the online environment, and watching that negative pour outwards in your direction.

As a breakout pop star Chloe has amassed an online following, but there’s also a pushback. She’s had to deal with this in real-time, and now takes those emotions into the studio for her new single.

‘I’ve Never Felt So Hated’ is out now, and it finds Chloe Slater learning to re-centre herself amid the digital noise. A precocious pop burner that shelters her self-esteem, there’s an element of defiance to her vocal.

“This song is centred around my mental health struggles as a result of internet scrutiny. It’s about how easy it is in 2026 to watch a twenty-second video, or read a comment and form an opinion on someone with a complete lack of context,” Slater explains. “In the digital age of short-form media, it is so difficult to form nuanced opinions. Everything has to be polarised and divisive to get clicks, and the result is such black and white thinking: it’s true love or extreme hate.”
