Chicago’s Marital Bed Announce Debut Album

Chicago group will release their self-titled debut album on December 4th.

The band went viral with their debut single, a whirlwind of ideas wrapped around a left-field pop song. Marital Bed are a five-piece based in singer/songwriter Charissa Jene Lindquist tiny 2nd floor apartment in the Chicago’s Ukrainian Village district, a cramped space for fetid creativity.

The band’s debut album , eight tracks of quicksilver musicality.

Out now, new track ‘Ghost’ is all jagged edges and melodic splinters, a hurricane of different art-rock junctures that somehow coalesce as a kind of alternative universe 60s girl group song.

“Instead of it focusing on heart break or boys, the lyrics explore a young woman uncovering the fact that a rich powerful man she is having an affair with is in communion with a dark, sinister force. I wrote it after having a vivid nightmare about Elon Musk and Grimes. This was during the peak of the Jeffrey Epstein drama surrounding Trump’s 2nd election, which I assume was a major subconscious influence on the lyrics.”
