New York City trio – and identical twin brothers and – have shared their new single, ‘speculations’.
The shimmering track produced by Oscar Scheller wrestles with the anxieties that come with a newfound music career, transmuting angst and uncertainty into a cathartic, dance-infused balm.
Of the single, the band say: “speculations weighs our self-doubts from this newfound music career while ultimately choosing to move forward fearlessly. Let this song be permission to go for it and dance like no one is watching!”
Shot mostly on VHS, the accompanying music video for ‘speculations’ gives a DIY inside look at the band letting loose on a trip to Coney Island’s amusement park and boardwalk.
The single follows the June release of their EP ‘’, followed by ‘autogratis (Remixes)’, which featured reimagined tracks by HOMESHAKE, Salami Rose Joe Louis, and Tom VR, among others.
Chanpan bring their autogratis tour to Europe next February. It commences in Dublin on February 27th, followed by stops in Glasgow, Bristol, Manchester and a show at London’s The Garage on March 5th.
