Catherine Zeta-Jones delivers her verdict on Kill Jackie future and whether we can expect a season 2

*Warning: This article contains spoilers for the ending of Kill Jackie.*

Action-packed revenge thriller Kill Jackie has just landed on Prime Video, but if you've already blasted your way through the series, you'll know that things left on quite an unexpected high note.

Jackie and her impromptu squad managed to track down all Seven Demons, meaning they couldn't succeed in their murderous plot to kill her. But on top of being hunted down by expert assassins, Jackie also had to reckon with her past – with some pretty major revelations unfolding in the later episodes.

When asked what her hopes are for further instalments of the series, star and executive producer Catherine Zeta-Jones told Radio Times: "I'm not done with Jackie Price yet. I've got more in me for her."

She went on: "I think the story, it lends itself to go on to greater and bigger and crazier stuff. I'm hoping if we get a good audience reaction that could be a possibility. But if it's not, I'm so happy with this show from beginning, middle and end that it would be one of my best experiences of working actually."

So whilst it remains unconfirmed for now whether there will be any more seasons of Kill Jackie, it seems as though Zeta-Jones is just happy to have worked on such a defining project. Whilst the actress is known for her turns in films like The Mask of Zorro and Chicago or in TV shows like The Darling Buds of May or Wednesday, Kill Jackie actually marks the first time that Zeta-Jones has donned her native Welsh accent for a role.

Speaking about that working process, Zeta-Jones explained to Radio Times: "When I work, I'm always sometimes fiddling in other people's jobs way too much. But I like the process of collaborating. Daniel [Ings] and the other actors too, they came in with an A-game and you don't necessarily get that. People come in, they do their job, they do as much as they want as they're employed to do or they're asked to do.

"But when you come into an environment where people like, ‘What about this?’. It gets all those juices going, and you go, ‘Yeah, I'm not afraid to say let’s do it this way. What about that?’. I think having an executive producer role in it too allowed me to go, ‘Hmm. Really? Do you think that's what it's about? Or what about this?’."

She added: "Usually, when you're an actor for hire, I don't feel comfortable to say anything. I'm gonna rock someone’s boat here, I’ll just do what I need to do. But I didn't feel - I think for the first time in my career on Kill Jackie, I felt I was able to nicely throw things in the mix and not be scared that it was a terrible idea."
