Bristol art-rock group will release new album ‘Tales From The Silver Lounge’ later this year.
The band shared two Best Of compilations last year, with ‘Magical Realism: The Best Of The Blue Aeroplanes’ and ‘Outsider Art: The Other Best Of The Blue Aeroplanes’ reviving beloved memories of the group’s output.
Moving forwards, new album ‘Tales From The Silver Lounge’ lands on November 27th, following sessions in their native city.
Creative lynchpin Gerard Langley comments:
All the recording was done at Bristol’s Humm Studios in two intense sessions, and it’s got a seriously cool John Byrne painting on the sleeve, by kind permission of the John Byrne Estate.
The band’s fourteenth stdio album is available to pre-order now, with lead single ‘Silver Lounge‘ on streaming now.
“A punk romp through slightly nightmarish recollections,” say the group, “based on conversations overheard in The Silver Lounge, a disreputable dockside bar on a British 1950’s-themed planet.”
