Blondie Announce New Album ‘High Noon’

New wave legends will release new album ‘High Noon’ on February 26th.

The new release is their twelfth studio album, and it represents Blondie’s first in nine years. Sessions kicked off back in 2022 with producer John Congleton, the band rooting themselves in their native New York.

The album features old friend Johnny Marr, and Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock – who has also toured as a member of Blondie.

Session also utilised Zach Condon of Beirut, Lucius and more; sadly, it also represents the final recordings alongside powerhouse drummer Clem Burke.

Out on February 26th, the visual world of ‘High Noon’ was conceived by artist and director , who has collaborated creatively with Blondie for over 25 years, dating back to 1999’s ‘No Exit’.

“This album is classic Blondie — an amalgamation of all our different influences and eras into something new,” says Debbie Harry. “This music feels grounded in the present, shaped by who we are and how we’re living now.”

“It’s been a long, strange ride, and somehow here we are with another Blondie album,” says co-founder Chris Stein.  I’m not sure what the fuck I’m supposed to say at this point, except that we’re incredibly grateful for all your support over the years.”

New single ‘Spectral Eyes’ is out now – sharp-edged guitar pop that blends CBGBs energy with an Anglophile appeal, it was actually co-written alongside Johnny Marr.
