CoD MW4's multiplayer beta is in full swing, and players have access to a huge variety of weapons in the beta. But even after just a few days, some are emerging as really strong contenders in matches.
While Infinity Ward is making constant changes to the game, a couple of weapons stand out, from assault rifles to SMGs, and even a marksman rifle, as what you should be using if you want to dominate lobbies.
Here is a breakdown of the top weapons to use in the beta, with information on why they are so strong.
The best weapons in the CoD MW4 beta are:
- Oris 8.6
As with most Modern Warfare games, the M4 is the best weapon in the game right now. Consistent, high-damage, fast fire rate, good mobility. It has almost anything you could ever want in a weapon.
Once you can bring the Kastov's recoil under control with some attachments, it is a solid backup assault rifle. While it is not quite as consistent as the M4, its range and power are impressive traits and you can lock down alleys and pathways with this rifle. You may need to round it out with an optic and some other attachments, though.
The ISO Nightshade is the only SMG on this list. This gun has already seen a nerf in the beta, but it still outperforms the others in its category. It has solid all-around stats with no major downsides and can often hold up against long-range fights with assault rifles.
Oris 8.6
Believe it or not, this marksman rifle is actually one of the strongest and most flexible weapons in the game right now. Capable of killing players in one shot to the upper body, you can drop almost anyone, provided you have sharp aim. The weapon has already seen some slight nerfs, but it is still incredibly powerful and outperforms the sniper rifles and other marksman rifles in the game right now.
