CLASH has followed Ben’s work for a long time now, and he’s a producer with a tendency to think outside the box. Initially emerging with a fusion of broken beat, house, and jazz-adjacent elasticity, he’s since refined and overhauled his sound.

New album ‘Future Bruk’ is a point of inflection, with Ben deliberately pushing himself into darker, and more muscular sound palettes.

Out now, it’s a punchy, absorbing 10-tracker, with Ben Hauke aiming to embody what he feels club music is lacking just now – a certain rawness, and a desire to experiment.

He comments: “I knew there was something I rejected in broken beat. I didn’t like how soft and jazzy it was, so I thought, why not make what I wanted to hear?”
