The South London artist pulls from multiple sonic realms, with his abstract soul songwriting shot through with lucid electronics and glo-fi sonics.

New EP ‘Maria’ finds BEASTIE turning his gaze inwards, reflecting on his life, his emotions, and the physical landscapes around him.

Out now, ‘Mitcham Mint’ honours his South London background, yet does so an incredibly inventive and imaginative way.

The -style acoustic guitars are disrupted by glitchy electronics, while his voice moves from rap flows to sublime soul.

The song arrives alongside a music video directed by (one half of Broken Antenna), with BEASTIE commenting:

“I wanted to make something that encapsulated the chaos and beauty of the place I call home. To let people see Mitcham through my lens, to feel all the moments, questions and emotions that moulded who I am. Looking back and seeing yourself through the fog. That is Maria.”
