rip it up on new single ‘Do Ya?’.
The breakout group were forged in the white heat of Leeds’ DIY community, a scene that is really leaving its mark nationally in 2026.
Earlier this year the band’s debut EP ‘KILL BATHING SUITS’ won admiring glances, with lead singer Freyja Blevins then walking for Vivienne Westwood at Paris Fashion Week.
Set to play London’s Sebright Arms on November 12th for The Great Escape’s First Fifty, Bathing Suits cement their breakout year with a new single.
A blast of industrial pop energy, ‘Do Ya?’ is a breathless surge of electronics, a wave of noise that finds Freyja in complete control of her power.
She comments…
I wrote ‘Do Ya’ this year after doing a shoot for Hedi Slimane because it opened up this whole other door to this fashion world which I had never really entered before. I had nothing from that world but wanted everything from it. As a theme though this bridges into many other aspects of my own and others life whether it be wanting someone in a romantic or sexual sense or wanting money its all want want want whatever you want you always want more than what you have.
We’ve kept true to our nature of noise and dance moving forward in our music, but we are trying to figure out how we can control and use our noise/chaos. Chaos is all fun but I want to find something I can control and use underneath it so it can’t swallow me or swallow the dance floor. Maybe that’s quite didactic of me?
Tune in now.
