Virtuosic art-folk duo and , better known as , deliver their on a cloud of stripped-back, expansive instrumentals softened by haunting vocals and psychedelic ambience. The eleven-track album opens with ‘Bird’, where the piercing lines “at the mercy of God” and “at the mercy of faith” dictate the pensive, questioning mood which follows. 

Simplicity is the spine of the sound, with the gentleness of the clarinet and acoustic guitar carrying the listener to a dense sonic woodland flooded with gnawing emotion. ‘I’m Not In Pain’ masters the balance of optimistic instrumentals and twisting lyricism, while the epic six-minute title track packs an intense inquisition of what lies beyond heartbreak into a warm, lyrical passage.
