Australian band have laid out plans for their new EP ‘With A Gnome’.

The group swept into the UK this Spring, playing a string of headline shows, including multiple sets at Brighton showcase The Great Escape.

An astounding live act, The Gnomes’ specialise in frenzied garage punk tinged with psychedelia, and a dose of Marc Bolan strut alongside.

Out on November 4th, new EP ‘With A Gnome’ takes the band in a different direction. New single ‘Batteries’ is a heavy duty onslaught, reminiscent of Black Sabbath’s growl in places, or even the long-lost cuts on the Brown Acid compilation series.

Online now, ‘Batteries’ comes paired with the Stooges snarl of B-side ‘Anything You Need’.

“This song is kind of a trap,” says lead singer Jay Millar. ”It’s The Gnomes’ softest and quietest song and also our loudest and heaviest. I used a cheap plastic fuzz pedal held together by duct tape for my guitar sound and we tried a few different amp and pedal combos for Ned’s Guitar. There’s only two guitar tracks in the chorus, it’s all balls and volume instead of 50 layered guitars and studio magic.”

Tune in now.
