will play a special 30th birthday party in Glasgow.

The show at the famed Barrowland Ballroom takes place on October 15th, and the band – and – will be joined by some old friends.

New album ‘Half-Told Tales’ landed earlier this month, so there’s no better time to see the band.

The show on October 15th doubles as their 30th birthday celebration, coming 30 years to the day since Arab Strap’s first ever live performance.

Our Glasgow show is being upgraded! Almost exactly 30 years to the day since our first-ever live performance (at King Tut’s on October 15th 1996), our Barrowland Ballroom gig has morphed into a last-minute birthday party. We’ll be joined by two of our favourite local bands: our old 1996 labelmates, the legendary bis; and the slightly younger – but no less legendary – Free Love. Between bands, our old friend Noj will be on DJ duties, and we’ll be playing an extended set to accommodate some requested oldies – so feel free to send us your suggestions and we’ll see what we can do. There’s even talk of party bags.
