Is the tide turning for live music in London? After years of closures 2026 has brought a spate of good news, including West London’s massive , and the incoming launch of Central London’s jazz redoubt .

Now Apple Music Hall is ready to launch in South London’s storied Battersea Power Station. An iconic building, it will host the start of the art venue, with Culture Secretary appearing at a launch this morning.

The venue uses advanced technology, with Apple Music Hall expressing the desire to create intimate fan-focussed moments, which artist can then record in Spatial Audio, create a broadcast-ready mix, and capture multicamera video, all within the same space.

“Apple’s deep love for music dates all the way back to the very beginning, from the launch of the iPod to the long-running iTunes Music Festival to the debut of Apple Music,” said Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Apple Music and International Content. “Today, with the opening of Apple Music Hall, we are once again taking an unprecedented step further in our commitment to artists and fans by supporting live music in ways only Apple can do.”
