"Garden" was self-produced by Barlow and recorded at home, following previous singles "Behind" and "In A Vice" released this year. It arrives alongside a video also made by Barlow, as she explains: “It’s a collage of old family videos from the 60s, 90s and early 2000s shot by various members of my family. It’s a reflection on life, nature and all that comes with it.”

Speaking about the track, Barlow says: “Garden is an important song to me. It’s about my deep love for nature and the world, and the collective denial of so many difficult things happening in it - climate change, genocide, war.

"It reflects on small things within daily life like dreams or walking my dog, and the dissonance of experiencing them with the backdrop of so much suffering. I made it in my own garden a couple of summers ago using just guitars and my voice, and making it was a cathartic experience - it became a vessel to process a lot of those feelings.”
