has shared his debut EP ‘too late’ in full.

Having collaborated with rising producers Adriano Desire (Beverley Knight) and michelangelo.mp3 (Tia Kofi), his passion for new experiences includes a spell writing in Helsinki with Elements Music.

Home is where the heart is, however, and al coffey works thrives on a degree of honesty. His new EP ‘too late’ grapples with regret and messy situations, with the project attempting to reconcile those without presenting easy answers.

Opener ‘528Hz’ is bold and vivacious, while highlight ‘ghost’ resonates with pangs of the past; an eclectic but succinct document, the EP hangs together perfectly.

Enjoying the support of BBC Introducing, ‘too late’ has a real sense of energy to it. al coffey comments…

‘too late’ is about the things you can’t go back and fix: a relationship you thought you moved on from, someone who’s possibility haunts you, the fear of being left behind, and memories you wish you could hold onto.

The four songs come from different parts of my life, but they all share that feeling of understanding something after the moment has passed. The EP explores these things in my life that feel unresolved or unrepaired and maybe never will be and how it feels to sit with that. I wanted the EP to hold those feelings together without pretending they all have a neat resolution.

Tune in now.
