will be the band's first full-length release in three years, following their 2023 self-titled debut. Today, "You Will Be Happy" lands as the second preview of the collection of songs, following "Small World" released back in August.
"At its core the song is a lullaby of coercive control," the band say of the track. "The song takes its title from corporate forecasts which offer a secure tomorrow in the face of multiple global crises. Many of the possible situations work at small, medium and large scale and are for your comfort and convenience. Composed on a battery powered keyboard with internal drum machine at the heart of the recording, the song occupies a space between advertising anthem and nursery rhyme hiding a soft darkness."
The album was recorded in Hayward's underground studio at Lewisham Arthouse and mixed at producer/engineer Nathan Greywater's Listening Ear, and takes inspiration from everyday life and noise in South London. The tracks point at a new direction for the band, following an extensive live period which included two European tours covering eleven countries and various festival appearances, including the UK's Dig That Treasure and Outer Waves and Spain's Primavera Festival.
