5 Emmerdale spoilers next week: Belle Dingle confronts evil Tom King and Robert Sugden’s shock hire

Tensions are rising in Emmerdale, where Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) is troubled by the forthcoming return of nephew Samson, who accidentally stabbed her son Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) during a tirade of transphobic abuse two years ago.

There’s also the impending release of domestic abuser Tom King (James Chase), who tormented and manipulated wife Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) for over a year.

When the clan’s patriarch Cain (Jeff Hordley) discovers that the two men are sharing a prison cellblock, he orders Samson to commit an attack that ultimately extends his sentence. Before long, a war is ignited between Cain and sibling Sam (James Hooten).

Elsewhere, Kev Barton (Chris Coghill) receives a surprising job offer from Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) and Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) continues her scheming with Caleb Miligan (William Ash).

Plus, with Thea Ramsden's (Chelsea Edge) real identity now out and in the open, Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) and Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) decide to keep a close eye on her.

Here's everything happening in the episodes of Emmerdale airing between Monday 9 and Wednesday 11 November.

5 Emmerdale spoilers for next week

1. Belle Dingle prepares to confront her abuser Tom King

Sam, Belle and Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) make preparations for Samson's return, though their plans are thrown into chaos when Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) arrives with some news – Tom has been brutally attacked and is now fighting for his life.

As the family struggle to process what's happened, Belle is horrified when Cain admits that he arranged the attack. Matters take an even darker turn when Sam receives a phone call revealing that Samson has assaulted someone and won't be coming home after all.

The penny soon drops for everyone as they realise Cain effectively sent his nephew after Tom. Sam is furious, accusing his brother of having little regard for his own son and suggesting that neither Cain nor Moira ever truly forgave Samson for what happened to Matty.

With tempers reaching boiling point, Sam launches himself at his brother. Cain then storms out, leaving Sam overwhelmed by emotion as he breaks down in tears.

The following day brings another blow for Sam when he hears from Samson. The latest charges could see him facing a lengthy prison sentence, leaving his father devastated.

Meanwhile, Belle is increasingly consumed by anxiety over how Tom might react to the attack. Kammy does his best to reassure her, but his efforts have little effect. He promises to stand by her as she prepares to revisit the horrific abuse she suffered at Tom's hands, with Belle terrified that Cain may have handed her ex-husband an excuse to retaliate.

When Sam arrives, he makes his position clear, insisting that Cain and Moira should pack their bags and leave Wishing Well Cottage. But with neither man willing to back down, Cain puts the responsibility firmly on Belle, demanding that she make the final decision.

At breaking point, Belle finally loses her patience and gives both Dingle siblings a piece of her mind, dismantling their arguments one by one. Despite the objections around her, she makes a startling announcement: she's going to visit Tom.

Her decision leaves both Cain and Sam looking thoroughly ashamed.

At the hospital, Kammy attempts to settle Belle's nerves before she goes into Tom's room. He's far from comfortable with the idea of her facing him alone, but Belle is convinced that his presence would only provoke Tom further.

Reluctantly, he agrees to give her ten minutes before stepping in to get help if necessary. As the moment approaches, both are left bracing themselves for what could happen next.

2. Nicola King is saddened when Kev Barton leaves the Main Street Café

Kev and Nicola have a chat in a scene from Emmerdale

Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) is taken aback when best pal Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) suggests that Kev might have developed feelings for her. Laurel is convinced there's something going on between the pair, but she is quick to dismiss the idea.

Kev, meanwhile, has been sharing his own interpretation of events with son Lewis (Bradley Riches), and it seems he's equally convinced that there's a spark between him and Nicola. His admission leaves Lewis concerned about where things might be heading.

Elsewhere, Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) reluctantly agrees to give Kev an opportunity to prove himself in the kitchen, tasking him with cooking some steaks. Much to Robert's surprise, his ex-hubby rises to the challenge and impresses him enough to land himself a job as chef at the Sugdens' Smokehouse.

Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) isn't particularly thrilled by the arrangement, but Lewis is delighted to see his dad getting a chance to make something of himself.

There's one person Kev finds much harder to break the news to, however. When Nicola learns that he's leaving the café, the pair are both visibly saddened by the prospect of going their separate ways.

She suggests they share one final cup of tea together, but Kev turns down the offer. With feelings clearly running deeper than either is prepared to admit, the pair are left nursing a quiet heartbreak.

3. Sadie King continues to plot against Caleb and Ruby Miligan

Joe continues to tighten the screws on Caleb by threatening to expose his affair with Sadie. Caleb remains convinced that wife Ruby (Beth Cordingly) would never believe him, but Joe has another weapon in his arsenal.

Knowing just how vulnerable she is, Joe makes it clear that Sadie could be his key to bringing Caleb down.

Later, Caleb is less than impressed when he catches Sadie using his phone to finish off some business deals. She attempts to charm him with a little flirtation, but her mood soon changes when Caleb offers to put down a deposit on a flat for her in Banbury.

Hurt by his assumption that she's only interested in what she can get from him, Sadie urges Caleb to stop thinking the worst of her. Turning on the emotion, she manages to leave him feeling thoroughly guilty.

Eventually, Caleb reluctantly agrees to help her with some paperwork, supposedly for Ruby's benefit. Yet the chemistry between them remains difficult to ignore, even as Caleb does his best to resist temptation.

Things take a turn when Ruby discovers that one of her clients hasn't received their order. Furious, she immediately points the finger at Sadie, who is left baffled by the apparent mistake. But when the order list is produced, Sadie quickly realises that Caleb has been tampering with the paperwork.

Caleb later attempts to apologise, only for Ruby to burst in and congratulate Sadie on the way she's handled the situation. It's a particularly bitter pill for Caleb to swallow as he realises his plan has spectacularly backfired, with his partner and Sadie seemingly closer than ever.

Once they're alone, Sadie makes her feelings known, tearing into Caleb for his betrayal. She then drops another revelation: she understood the order lists perfectly well all along. Her real motivation was simply to find an excuse to spend more time with him.

Sadie appears to suggest that she'll cause no further trouble, but her apparent surrender may be nothing more than a performance. As Caleb walks away, she turns her attention to the hidden camera footage of their affair, making it clear that she's not quite ready to let him go.

4. Kim Tate publicly declares Thea Ramsden as her daughter – with Joe Tate growing suspicious

Kim's frosty attitude following Dawn's death continues to cause upset, with Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) particularly hurt when another invitation to spend time with her and Thomas is rejected.

Later, Kim uses her time to build bridges with Thea instead, by suggesting they spend some time together. However, when her mum hesitates over telling Mary about their relationship in The Woolpack, the detective is left devastated.

Once Thea has gone, Kim finally shares the truth with Mary, who takes the news on board. With encouragement from her friend, Kim decides to make another attempt at reaching out to her daughter.

As she anxiously waits to hear back, Kim finds herself confiding in Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), who is stunned by the revelation. She encourages her not to give up, drawing on her own experience of building a relationship with Ryan Stocks (James Moore).

Charity subsequently speaks to Thea and reveals that Kim has told her the truth about their connection. She also offers her some food for thought, hoping to help her see things from Kim's perspective.

The conversation appears to have an impact, as Thea later turns up to see Kim. Overjoyed by the unexpected visit, Kim is thrilled to have another opportunity to get to know her daughter, although Joe remains distinctly uneasy about the situation.

Finally, at The Woolpack, Kim decides it's time to stop keeping things under wraps and publicly announces her relationship with Thea to the assembled locals. Thea is quietly delighted by the gesture, while Kim appears happier than ever at the prospect of finally welcoming her daughter into the family.

But not everyone is celebrating. Joe's attitude remains decidedly cold, and as mother and daughter leave together, he joins Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) in agreeing that Thea needs to be watched closely.

5. Robert Sugden receives a much-needed financial boost for The Smokehouse

Robert and Aaron outside of The Hide in a scene from Emmerdale

Kev's enthusiasm for his new role at the Smokehouse is already proving difficult to contain, prompting Aaron and Robert to step in and keep him from getting too carried away.

Robert, however, has reason to be celebrating when cousin Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy) agrees to invest £10,000 of her savings into the business. The substantial financial boost leaves him delighted and seemingly gives The Smokehouse a much-needed shot in the arm.

But the celebrations bring an unexpected sting for Gabby, who is left heartbroken from afar as Robert excitedly unveils the business's brand-new sign.

Is she regretting selling up?
