There's a traumatic week ahead in Walford, as Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) is left broken after finding daughter Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) dead.
Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine) has more than just giving birth to cope with, as her secret doubts over her baby's paternity are uncovered.
Elsewhere, Gemma Hawkins (Patricia Potter) tries to help the Slater-Moons in their darkest hour, Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier) is once again torn in matters of the heart, and the consequences continue after some recent wedding drama.

1. Devastated Kat Moon makes a discovery about Zoe Slater's shock death
Kat is reeling after finding Zoe's lifeless body in her bed. Shocked and desperate, Kat doesn't tell anyone, until husband Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) walks in.
He's stunned to realise Zoe has died, just as an oblivious Jean Slater (Gillian Wright), Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) and Mo Harris (Laila Morse) prepare to move into The Queen Victoria pub amid their eviction.
Mo tries to cheer Lily up, but just as things begin to look up, the trio discover what's happened to Zoe.
The Slaters struggle to make sense of the situation, while Kat locks herself away. Later, she heads to container junction and ends up being comforted by Oscar, who shares his mum Tanya's (Jo Joyner) experience after Abi's (Lorna Fitzgerald) death.
Kat returns to The Vic, but is upset to find the family holding a vigil for Zoe in her bedroom and orders everyone out.
News of Zoe's demise shocks the locals, but one person who is particularly upset is the individual who last saw her alive. But who was it?
Kat continues to struggle with the loss of Zoe, but Alfie is hurt that she is shutting him out in her grief.
The police arrive to share the results of Zoe's postmortem, and it leaves Kat newly stunned and in need of answers.
As Alfie is supported by Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) and Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) at the allotments, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) tries to get through to Kat with some advice.
Wanting to help, Sharon suggests they ask Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) for a favour. Kat is shocked by what the evidence uncovers, but what has Jack found out?
2. Penny Branning is caught out after welcoming her baby
Penny worries for her baby when she experiences labour pains, but she's reassured at the hospital that all is well.
The following day, it's time for Vinny Panesar's (Shiv Jalota) 30th birthday party, and Penny and the family pull out all the stops to make it a day to remember.
Lauren Beale (Jacqueline Jossa) notices Penny is upset, and Penny reveals she's going to tell Vinny he might not be the baby's dad. Lauren tries to persuade her not to, but Penny is adamant.
At the party, Suki Panesar-Unwin (Balvinder Sopal) upsets Penny and she heads outside, but before she has a chance to tell Vinny anything, her waters break!
Vinny is oblivious and Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) and Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) try to sober him up and get him to the hospital on time.
Suki and Jack arrive to support Penny, and Vinny arrives just in time to welcome the birth of a son. The couple are delighted, and alone with Lauren, Penny explains she's decided not to tell Vinny he might not be the dad.
But someone else has heard their conversation - who knows Penny's secret?
Soon, the Brannings and Panesar-Unwins come together for the Naam Karan of Vinny and Penny's baby boy.
Later, the mystery person confronts Penny, but as they reveal their cards, another secret comes to light. What has been unearthed, and will Penny come clean that Harry could be the father?
3. Gemma Hawkins tries to show her support
She attempts to cook for the grief-stricken family, but things don't go to plan. How will Gemma's efforts be received?
The sister of Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington), Gemma hasn't made the best of first impressions so far but we're loving the essence of the eccentric character, so here's hoping she finds a friend soon.
4. Oscar Branning is conflicted over Josh Goodwin
As a favour for Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker), Oscar talks to Josh Goodwin (Joshua Vaughan) about Zoe.
But the pair struggle to contain their feelings and end up kissing.
Will Oscar admit he wants to be with Josh, or are emotions simply too raw after Zoe's death, and the disastrous end to Oscar's previous relationship with Josh's twin sister Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness)?
5. Max Branning and Cindy Beale's wedding day fallout continues
The drama that blighted the wedding of Max Branning (Jake Wood) and Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) is still very much affecting those involved next week.
What we don't yet know is how much of Max's actions have been made public, and how Cindy reacted.
With Max heading towards a turbulent 2027, where do his recent misdemeanours leave him in the present day?
