2manydjs have shared an archive mix recorded at vital London club back in 2004.
The club went down in London nightlife history – a meeting place for jaded punks and techno kids alike, its fashion forward cross-cultural mix spawned a vibrant counter culture.
Founder chairs a lavish new tome detailing the history of Trash, speaking to countless fans, clubbers, and guest DJs in the process.
2manydjs were undoubtedly kindred spirits, and the Belgian duo performed at Trash on countless occasions. Thankfully, one night in 2004 was recorded for posterity – and it’s now online in full.
Emblematic of the era’s anything-goes sonic policies, it’s an inspiring time capsule. 2manydjs comment:
We apologise for any ear damage or emotional injuries caused by our amateurish mixing.
Introducing the mix, Erol writes:
The connection between me, 2manydjs and Trash goes from 2000 till today. Dave and Steph appeared at the club under a string of aliases: The Flying Dewaele Brothers, Soulwax DJs, 2manydjs and Nite Versions. Different names, but always the same impact. I’ve unearthed a previously unreleased, typically brilliant and gloriously chaotic mix recorded live at Trash in 2004.
Tune in now.
