100%WET Return With New Single ‘Indigo’

Copenhagen’s 100%WET return with new single ‘Indigo’.

Out now via Crunchy Frog Recordings, the release finds the Danish group evolving once more. Close friend and collaborator Sanna Heinstedt (ASA Eir) is now officially a member, and it’s her dulcet vocals which adorn the new release.

It’s been a tough period for the group, whose debut album landed last year. An impressive release, touring was cut short when founder Casper Munns caught a rare and life-threatening illness, at one point being placed into an induced coma.

Battling back to fitness, he spearheads this intoxicating single, which blends trip-hop world-building – think the dank paranoia of Massive Attack’s ‘Mezzanine’ – with heavenly aspects of shoegaze.

The skittering electronics speak for their own programming skills, a unique and otherworldly sound that contains painterly flourishes.

Speaking on the new single Casper Munns says…

“I’ll spare the deeper meaning, but ‘Indigo’ reminds me of how time can change perspective and create new beauty. When I wrote it, the song came from a dark place – a needy, desperate longing that needed to be forced out. As time has passed, I’ve started to see it more as a love song, a celebration of life. It’s a good reminder that songs can shift. Hearing it again in a different state of mind has completely changed how it feels to me, and I like that it can be left open for the listener to bring their own meaning to it.”

Tune in now.
